There is something so magical about bubbles floating through the air on a warm summer day! Infants, mobile babies, and toddlers all enjoy chasing a bubble, or simply watching it pass by. When a child plays with bubbles, they are working on their gross (large) motor skills, practicing hand-eye coordination, and exploring cause and effect. They use language and communication skills to exclaim "more!" As a toddler blows their own bubbles, they strengthen their oral muscles, which assists in their speech capabilities.
On the next warm, sunny day, grab some bubbles, head outside, and enjoy a multitude of learning opportunities!
